We have the privilege to work in the regions of San Juan de Oriente and Dioromo, Nicaragua since June 2020. Eighty percent of the people in these areas depend almost exclusively on clay pottery for bringing income to their households. We want to help them diversify their income streams and help bring them food security.
We’ve collaborated with the counsel of Pastors of Diriomo to create the first Christ-centered agricultural cooperative in the country. The Siembra Vida Agriculture Cooperative has established a 2 acre farm to begin a land-sharing program, allowing the community to grow food and create jobs.
Our Areas of Impact
CHICKEN EGGS PROGRAM
Siembra Vida has initiated this program as part of our strategic plan to have more tools and better mechanisms to respond quickly to food demand and costs. This led to the creation of the “Chicken Eggs Program.” We acquired 100 laying hens to have an immediate response to egg production and consumption in the community. This program also helps create jobs, allowing us to connect with the parents of the children who attend our programs in Nicaragua.
Community Farm
The two acre farm provides food for local children and. their families and brings income to the ministry.
Community Kitchen
Our team prepares and serves fresh meals to the community on a weekly basis.
Semillitas Kids Club
Each week, we teach God's word to kids through gospel gardening and share a hot meal.
Leadership Training and Workshops
We provide workshops and round table discussions for local pastors and leaders.
